Mahogany One-Piece Body Blank, Prime Grade.

These Mahogany body blanks are the finest I have ever had in stock. Beautiful iridescent grain and rich colours. These will look very beautiful when oiled or lacquered, creating tonally and aesthetically amazing instruments.

The slabs that yielded these Mahogany Body Blanks were very carefully selected for quality and by weight. Like many species of wood, Mahogany can vary in weight quite drastically from slab to slab. These body banks are a perfect weight for all types of guitars, even thicker bodied models such as Les Pauls.

50mm / 2″ thick.

The species is Khaya Ivorensis. This is an African Mahogany well known and widely used for the creation of fine stringed instrument and high-end furniture. This species is pretty much indistinguishable from Honduran Mahogany aesthetically, yet is more appealing to me personally because its a bit lighter in weight. These Mahogany Blanks are absolutely perfect.
