Master Grade Flamed Australian Mountain Ash

This is without a doubt the rarest stock i have ever had in at Luthier Wood, and its absolutely mind-blowing too!

So what is it? – Australian Mountain Ash, Eucalyptus Ragnans. This is the tallest flowering plant in the world, and these grow to be amongst the tallest trees in the world, even giving the coastal Redwood giants of California a run for their money. For comparison, the tallest Eucy. Ragnans in the world is in Tasmania, is known as Centaurion- and measures 99.6 meters tall. Whilst the tallest redwood standing today is ‘The Hyperion’ standing at 115.6 meters tall. This particular tree unfortunately succumbed to a bush fire in Australia, however when it was harvested it turned out to have absolutely sensational ripple figure running right the way through. Mills like butter too. I’m certainly going to be keeping a few sets of this for my own builds.

The ripple figure in these sets are deep and vivid, with absolutely fantastic three dimensional holographic qualities. These will make for some truly unique instruments. One of a kind in its truest meaning, I have the only stock of this on UK soil, and it is a very limited stock that I hold. Once its gone, its gone for good. This set is a 6.1mm thick drop top set.
