These tops are incredible, and very very special. This is a 6.1mm thick, perfectly bookmatched set.

Amazing marbled figure and super tight grain.

Please see all images to show how the grain changes from different angles – and please believe me when i say that these pictures really don’t do these tops justice.

Now for the history – the billets that yielded these tops were cut from a salvaged tree that naturally fell roughly 120 years ago. This tree was one of the true giants of the Californian coast, and estimated to be 2500-3000 years old!

These tops will make some truly fantastic and unique looking instruments!
