Snakewood is super hard, looks incredible and has a naturally high oil content, making it a fantastic material for instrument fingerboards.
Snakewood can be difficult to find in sizes large enough to cut fingerboards from. The edges can contain cracks and voids, so I have drawn on a large template of a 24 fret, 25.5″ fingerboard blank to show an area of clear and solid wood suitable to cut the board from. However, the surrounding area on most of these is perfectly usable also.
Incredible and super rare stock, these will make some absolutely stunning fingerboards.
