This is a 2 piece body set. If you require this set to be jointed and glued before shipped, then that isn’t a problem to do, but does require a additional fee of £32.50 and will delay shipping by one or two days. If you require this, please purchase the set as normal but enter a note requesting this service in the comments box when checking out. We will then send you a separate PayPal request for the jointing fee.
Unfortunately over the past decade, Swamp Ash has become more and more difficult to acquire, which in turn has pushed the price up considerably. Buyers that are new to the hobby should be aware of imitations out there, as it can sometimes be difficult to tell the difference between Swamp Ash and the far cheaper standard Ash from a picture alone. Luthier Wood is now one of the only Exotic Wood stores in the UK to have Prime grade Swamp Ash in stock.
Our boards are all expertly machined from rough sawn state, then cut and hand selected to create the best two-piece matches. The boards start out at roughly 52mm thick, but are then cleaned up on our surface planer and thicknesser so that our customers can see exactly what they are buying.
All our stock has been carefully air dried for several years before being slow-kilned to give that final, check-free stability.
