An absolutely awesome White Limba two-piece body blank!
Limba is tonally rich and easy to work with, a perfect material for Luthiers to focus their artistic creativity on. This set has been left over standard thickness at 50mm /2″ thick, so it can be machined down to whatever thickness is desired by the Luthier.
Carefully air dried for over 25 years. This set will make for a really special instrument. Please see measuring tapes along both edges of the set in the photos to see dimensions.
Black Limba / White Limba, as with many African hardwood species, occasionally will have a few bug holes somewhere in the set. This is completely normal for Limba, and it is actually these bug holes that cause the sought after orange coloured ambrosia Spalting commonly found in Limba!
