Ancient Quilted Redwood Bookmatched set.
These tops are incredible, and very very special (read below to find out why!).
Perfectly book-matched set, 5.6mm thick. Please see pictures to see other dimensions along the left and bottom of the dimension board.
Amazing quilted figure and lovely colour.
Now for the history! The slabs that yielded these tops were cut from a salvaged tree that naturally fell roughly 120 years ago. This tree was one of the true giants of the Californian coast, and estimated to be 2500-3000 years old!
These tops will make some truly fantastic and unique looking instruments!
